Students read their personal novels.
Most students received their formal writing for a second time - this time to take home, to accompany the publishing of today's learning updates (please keep these pieces, as they should be used to inform future growth).
Students did a quick sheet on colons, and a second on semicolons, before we read "Penny in the Dust" together.
HMWRK - Students should review the story, especially the opening and closing paragraphs. They should also take brief notes for question #3, which follows the story.
Students should also be reviewing their short story terms and plot diagrams.
